| There is another reason why core transformation is important. What are you after, achievement or success?
There is a fundamental difference between being successful and being an achiever. Achieving is about hitting the target, irrespective of what the target is, achievement is about accomplish the task or goal. One could say that Adolf Hitler was an achiever, but it would not be correct to call him a success. Success is much broader in what it connotes and much deeper in the meaning. That is because achievement is about goals, while success is about life. You might not be an achiever, yet possibly a successful human being.
While achievement aims at collecting things from the outer world, or accomplishing targets, which will eventually get you things from the outer world. Success is an inner world phenomenon. It is a state of being. It is a state of feeling fullness within. This is the basic difference between achievement and success – achievement is an outer world phenomenon of accomplishments while success is an inner world phenomenon of feeling. It is possible that you do not accomplish anything in the outer world, and you may still feel good within, fulfilled within.
Most people mean and understand achievement when they talk of success. however, achievement without peace and happiness is not success.

Success = Achievement in outer world + Peace + Happiness
A terrorist may hit his target and create a genocide, he accomplished what he wanted, but is he at peace, is he happy? A happy or a peaceful man would never do what he does. This is an extreme case, but look in your life, look all around you and it will be clear that people hit targets, one after the other, but they don’t reach home to the feeling of peace and happiness. |
