But then the problem begins with emotions. It is true that emotions color your life, they make you human, but the problem with this color palate is that you don’t always come across the ones you prefer. Very often you are confronted with emotions which are so uncomfortable that you don’t want to face them. And that’s where the problem sets in. I suggest you check with any area of you life that is troubling you, don’t you find strong emotional content to that area?

You have manuals for learning the most complex devices, but not a single to tell you what to do when confronted with a strong emotion, especially an emotion that chokes you to death, that burns inside you like a volcano or that shrinks you to a vulnerable child. You have schools to teach you everything from science to spirituality, from mechanics to medicine (there are secret schools that also teach you how to be a successful fraud), you may get professional guidance to learn anything from surgery to forgery. But not a single one that answers – what the hell am I suppose to do with this emotion that I don’t want but keeps on coming back again and again. There are people who learn and people who teach how to tackle a wild beast or a venomous cobra, but where in the world you find a place to learn to deal with emotions.

So why am I talking so much about dealing with emotions? The answer is obvious, your real trouble is not the various circumstances or situations, but the emotions associated with them. Particularly the dense emotions like intense pain, grief, sorrow or the fiery emotions like anger and rage or chilling fear are just a few beasts to name from the jungle. So a major step in the direction of changing your life story is to learn to deal with emotions. You need to learn because you don’t know what to do. Do you?
